A move to Tamworth followed before a season at Mansfield Town during 2010/11. He then returned to York until February 2014.

Halifax came calling in the second half of that season before a switch to Alfreton Town that summer for 16 months at the Impact Arena.

The now 34-year-old spent last season at Tamworth once more and boasts a career spanning three decades, making more than 250 appearances.

A statement on Heanor’s website read: “Chris is a proven winner and a leader, we are delighted to have him at the club.”
