Eastwood power up for first win of the season
Eastwood found their scoring boots as they put four past Blackstones for their first win of the season in the GCE Hire Fleet United Counties League Premier Division North.
After an opening-day defeat, which was followed by the departure of manager Willis Francis, Eastwood had found form in midweek when coming back from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 at AFC Mansfield.

And interim boss Billy Bennett saw his time build on that in style at Blackstones as they thumped their hosts 4-1.
Patrick Webb put Eastwood ahead on 23 minutes and Jamie Walker added a second four minutes after half-time.
Brad Gascoigne put the result beyond doubt with a third on 69 minutes.
Blackstones pulled one back on 75 minutes, only for Webb to restore Eastwood’s three-goal lead just a minute later with his second of the game.
In the same division, Kimberley Miners Welfare suffered a second successive defeat at they went down 3-0 at Aylestone Park, while in Division One, Selston lost 2-0 at South Normanton Athletic.
Attention now turns to the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup this weekend with Eastwood away to Loughborough Students and Kimberley at ‘home’ to AFC Rushden & Diamonds in a tie that will be played at Hucknall Town’s RM Stadium due to ongoing works at Kimberley’s ground.
Selston are away at Pinchbeck United in the league.
