Saturday saw us demolish a Nottingham Forest side 5-0 in the biggest thrashing of them for over a century.

Hide AdIt’s true that they had many players out injured, however they had enough talent on the field to make the game much closer and indeed Simon Cox cost more than our entire starting 11.
It was the worst performance I’ve ever seen from our rivals. So bad that it cost BillY Davies his job. It’s ironic that the man who has had endless snipes at our club since leaving had his only major success with us.
Tuesday saw a disappointing loss at Ipswich. Despite Patrick Bamford putting us ahead in the first minute, Ipswich were allowed to get back into the game and snatched a very late winner.

Hide AdWe should have brought back a point at least as we were the better side for seventy minutes of the game.
What we must do now is move on from the Forest and Ipswich games and concentrate on the job in hand.
We must cement our place in the top six and ensure that the play-offs stay in our sights. It would be calamitous now to slip out of the end of season matches that offer a Premier League spot as a prize for the winners.
