We enter the final two fixtures guaranteed of a play off berth. There’s just the business of where we finish to settle.

It’s third or fourth and then we await to see who our opponents will be in the end of season knockout for the final promotion place to the dizzy heights of the Premier League.

A couple of wins cemented our place in the top three during the Easter period. A scrappy game with two cracking goals by George Thorne and Chris Martin saw us come away with all three points at Doncaster.

The home game with Barnsley on Easter Monday saw us score two more quality finishes with Jeff Hendrick and Johnny Russell finding the net.

We face Watford next followed by a visit to Leeds.

In my opinion we need to keep the momentum going and keep the confidence high for our post regular season.

We have many different options up front and a few in midfield. Defence will have to be on the top of its game too! Jake Buxton and Craig Forsyth have both been in scintillating form of late and we will need them to retain it for another four or five games.

I suspect that should we be able to clinch the third place on Saturday against Watford, Steve McClaren might be tempted to rest a few players.

I’m not totally against that thought, but I’d prefer to see switches like bringing Bamford into the central striking role and resting Martin. I’d probably start Dawkins too.

Watford will be a tricky fixture and they have under performed this season. Third place is ours if we want it enough!
