Mansfield Woodhouse’s England international, Josanne Potter, has been apppointed head coach of Coventry United Ladies as part of its ambitious plans.
But the versatile left-sided defender/midfielder, who has 35 national caps, stressed her playing career at Super League side Reading Women would continue and remain the priority.
Potter’s new role will see her work with Coventry manager Jay Bradford on the training pitch as the side, which finished fourth in the FA Womens’ Premier League Southern Division last season, looks to progress.
Potter said: “I know many of the girls, I know what they can achieve.
“(But) I am 1,000% a Reading Women player, which will take priority as always.”
