CML round-up: Blidworth repeat Southwell hammering

Bilsthorpe left it late to rescue a point at Harworth Colliery, Liam Black scoring in the 87th minute to wipe out Matty Bradley’s 65th minute strike for Harworth.

Kinsley Boys were another team grateful for a late goal as they drew 3-3 at home to Easington United.

Phoenix moved out of the bottom two after beating Ollerton Town 3-2 at Brinsworth.

It was all square at half-time, Rob Gorman and Jon Sainthouse’s goals for Phoenix answered by Kye Pilmore and Alex Sennett.

Hampered by the loss of top scorer Chris Hewitt through injury, Ollerton conceded the points in the second half, the unfortunate Sennett putting through his own goal.

Thorne Colliery’s recent improvement in form continued with a 3-2 win at Bentley Colliery. Bentley led through a Dan Read goal at the interval, but Darren Fell with two and Kyle Palmer won it for Thorne, Chris Scott adding Bentley’s second.

It was the same scoreline at Sherwood Colliery, where Askern came out on top thanks to a Carl Horsley hat-trick, Brad Middlekoop and Fenn Radford with the Sherwood goals.

Thoresby Colliery are the latest side to make it into the quarter-finals of the League Cup, sponsored by Abacus Lighting.
