The Cobras chief was left disappointed by his side’s 5-3 defeat at Barrow and their failure to build on the 4-0 midweek win over Borrowash Victoria.

And Hoole knows a consistent level of performance is needed if Clipstone are to improve

“I’m very disappointed to be fair,” It was a totally different outlook to Tuesday, the pitch was heavy, but no excuses.

“We have gifted four goals with four individual errors, you can't legislate that.

“The lads are honest enough to apologise and we move on, it was a bad day at the office.

The level we are playing at will see individual errors, it lacks consistency.

“It is something which we need to work very hard on. The fine margins with decision makings need to improve, we are not a million miles away

“We have brought the players in with experience to get consistency, but we are a club where it needs 11 men all doing the job they have been asked.

“We can't carry anyone and if one or two don’t perform the management needs to sort that out.”

Charlie Dawes pounced on a loose backpass to put Clipstone ahead after two minutes.

But Barrow levelled through Scott Smith on 14 minutes after Nathan Whitehead gave away a needless free-kick.

Curtis Birchall put Clipstone back in front from a free-kick on 23 minutes.

But they chucked the lead away again when Jordan Holmes scored at the second attempt on 31 minutes.

Clipstone went ahead again on 50 minutes when Whitehead scored from the spot after Josh Pickering was brought down.

But Barrow levelled yet again on 57 minutes when Smith headed home after Clipstone gave away a cheap free-kick.

Smith added another three minutes later with a free-kick, before Barrow wrapped it up with 15 minutes to go when Finlay Wilkinson scored from a rebound.
