Charity match for Children in Need on Sunday

A starting XI from the dealership will line up against Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side, Eastwood Town FC – which will be boosted by Mansfield Town manager, Paul Cox.

Locals are being welcomed down to Coronation Park, on Chewton Street, for a 2pm kick-off and donations will be accepted on the turnstiles.

To keep the children entertained there will be a bouncy castle and the dealership team will also be hosting a charity raffle.

Children in Need is the official charity partner for Peugeot UK and its dealer network, and Evans Halshaw Mansfield is fundraising throughout 2013 to help raise vital funds for the cause.

Richard Ward, parts team leader, said: “We’re a dealership full of footy fans and we wanted to host a charity match to really kick-off our fundraising for Children in Need.

“The match looks set to be an exciting encounter and we’re more than ready for the opposition. We’d love to see our family, friends and customers on the terraces to cheer us on and dig deep for charity on the day.”

The match is one of many events organised by Evans Halshaw Mansfield and the dealership will also be hosting a charity car wash, with all proceeds going to the charity.
As part of the car wash theme, Pudsey’s Car Wash Packs and other Children in Need merchandise will be on sale at the dealership to raise money for the well-loved charity, which supports disadvantaged children across the UK.

Mansfield Town’s Football in the Community received a Children in Need grant in 2012, which helped its ‘Play N Stay’ project offer sporting opportunities to children living with disabilities.
