Central Midlands Football League Round-up: Club record equalled by Glapwell, but defeats for Thoresby and Southwell City

Glapwell equalled the club’s record league victory as they returned to winning ways with a 8-0 victory over Welbeck Welfare at Hall Corner in the Central Midlands League Black Dragon Badges North Division.

Ashley Grayson scored four goals, including a first half hat trick, Lee Naughton Sam Rhodes, Adam Kimberley and Neil Grayson were also on target.

Ollerton Town were another team among the goals, putting five past Bentley Colliery, who could only manage one in return. Will Horton and Chris Hewitt both scored twice, Carl Russo also on the scoresheet.

Thoresby Colliery lost ground to leaders Clay Cross Town, being held to a 1-1 draw at Appleby Frodingham, a Lee Tryner penalty securing a point for Thoresby.

Clay Cross were 5-1 winners over Sherwood Colliery at the I Want Petfoods Stadium, Craig Payne with a late consolation for Sherwood.

In the Black Dragon Badges South Division Belper United thumped Southwell City 5-1, Marlon Waites netting for Southwell, while Hucknall Rolls were 2-0 winners at Blidworth Welfare, both goals coming in the second half from Jack Smith and Harry Allen.
