Bowery keen for Mansfield Town to build on last season's momentum
Experienced campaigner Jordan Bowery wants Stags to take the momentum gained from last season’s strong finish into the new campaign.
Mansfield lost just one of their final 15 games of the season after ending 25/26 with a stunning 5-4 win over promoted Cardiff.

And the ever versatile Bowery believes it now gives promotion-chasing Mansfield plenty to build upon.
“We are hopefully going to take the confidence from last season into the season upcoming but we know it’s not going to be easy,” he said.
“There are some good teams who have come into the league and those that are staying in the league as well, so we are not going to take anything for granted.
“We have got something to build on from last season and hopefully we can take it into this one.”
Bowery, who signed a new one year deal in the summer, has begun his seventh pre-season campaign with Stags and admits he’s loving every minute of it.
“We always do the same thing and the gaffer always makes pre-season tough, but we get our rest at the same time,” he said. “You look forward to your holiday but it’s great to be back with the lads again.
“You want to get that base fitness back, your sharpness will come from training and games but we need to get the miles in during pre-season.
“This is probably the best I have felt in a few years. I feel that my fitness is up there, so its going well. The main thing about pre-season is working hard, getting your fitness up and coming through it with no injuries.
“Everyone knows that I love it here, it’s the place I love and I have enjoyed every minute so far. Everyone is eager to get going and looking forward to the season ahead.”
The former MK Dons and Doncaster Rovers man is now hoping that his versatility will also see him play plenty of minutes during the season ahead.
“I feel good, I feel fresh and hopefully I can kick on from there,” Bowery added.
“When you can fill a lot of positions it helps out, that's something I have been doing for four or five years now. I look forward to that and let's see what’s happening this season.”
