The Bulls looked to be heading towards a much-needed three points when Ross Duggan bagged his third goal in as many games - and his 29th overall so far this season - in the 80th-minute.

But the visitors were pegged back two minutes from time when Mark Simpson scored for Liversedge, meaning boss Chatfield and his travelling Bulls had to settle for a share of the spoils.

Chatfield said: "We're disappointed to concede so late on but the lads were superb.

"They did everything we asked of them. We knew it was going to be difficult playing against Liversedge - they're free scoring and you can see why.

"They play one dimensional football that's effective for them. They score a lot of goals from it so we knew we were going to be up against it."

Liversedge score on average a fraction more than three goals per game and have won five of their last six prior to Saturday's kick-off.

The Bulls, meanwhile, have been battling it out towards the other end of the table and Chatfield felt his side gave the desired response to last week's 2-1 defeat to Bottesford Town.

He said: "The lads were fantastic today and I couldn't have asked for a better performance than that from last Saturday.

"The difference was chalk and cheese. I'm absolutely delighted for them."

And added: "It was a great reaction. We've got to be consistent now."

Chatfield identified the need for his side to win the second balls, which he saw was key in their draw, while reserved special praise for goal machine Duggan.

"He's on fire at the moment," said Chatfield.

"He scores when you need it the most and that's what we ask from strikers - can you score one a game because that one a game will give us the points we need to stay up.

"He's done more than that so far.

"There's so much more to come from him. He's worked so hard for 90 minutes."

"We've had to bring three [players] off because they literally couldn't run anymore.

"That's what we ask - do the minimum - that's what they did today and that's what was missing at Bottesford."
