Billy Heath calls on Alfreton Town to cut out the defensive errors

Erico Sousa put the visitors ahead on 11 minutes before Adam Campbell made the points safe seven minutes from time.

It left Heath feeling his side had been responsible for their own downfall.

“We started very slow and had a hangover in the first 20 mins,” he said. “The goals we conceded were very cheap and we switched off.

“We let the full-back go for the first goal and he got a cross in to our box.

“We were pushing for the second and gave the ball away, it’s a cheap goal.

“The biggest thing we have to rectify is giving away cheap goals, whether that is individual mistakes or us switching off.

“In this league you have to keep clean sheets first and foremost and we are not doing that.”

Alfreton will face a tough defensive test in their next two outings, with away trips to Kidderminster and Southport next up.
