Runaway leaders AS Plant United hammered Southwell City III 5-0 in the Midland Amateur Alliance Premier Division.

James McCann scored a double with James Prudence, James Thorpe and Jack Burnett also hitting the back of the net.

Woodborough United climbed to second spot thanks to their 4-1 defeat of Rainworth Rangers, whose consolation goal came from Mark Trowsdale in reply to Graham Crowe’s double and goals from Ash McPherson and Dom Lynas for Woodborough.

FC Coopers and AFC Farnsfield shared six goals with Callam Atkinson contributing all three goals for Farnsfield.

AFC South Wingfield 93 still remain in the driving seat at the top of Division One after going down for the second time to runners up Derbyshire Amateurs, who are still the only side to inflict defeat on the leaders.

Old Elizabethans II trail third-placed Wollaton by a single point following their 4-0 defeat of Old Bemrosians, whilst six placed Sutton Travellers shared their eight goals equally between the two halves of their 8-0 win against Magdala Amateurs Reserves.

The goals came from an Andrew Hill hat-trick, a Nathan Atkins double and goals from Chris Draycott, Iain Rowe and Martin Willoughby.

The two bottom teams swapped places as the result of an own goal scored in the last five minutes as Ashfield FC and Steelers who were unlucky not to get a share of the points.
