With Matt Green back from a one game ban, he replaced Chris Beardsley in the Stags attack tonight while Craig Westcarr, who partnered Beardsley in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Morecambe, was replaced by Reggie Lambe.

Boss Adam Murray took his place on the bench as usual, despite being sent off against Morecambe on Saturday.

“I’ve not had anything come back to me,” he said. “Like I said after the game on Saturday I think it was a bit harsh. I don’t think there was a black and white reason why I did get sent off, so I will be in the dug-out tonight.”

On the changes, he added: “We feel tonight we need a lot of energy. Pace can hurt them.

“We have a game plan in place where we think we can take advantage of their weaknesses, but the big thing tonight is we are going to have to be very disciplined, organised and need the energy to make our plan work.”

Fifth-placed Mansfield were looking for a fourth win on the trot for the first time this season at third-placed Oxford.
