Alfreton Town sign former Mansfield Town and Bradford City striker Jake Speight on loan
It will be a second loan spell with the Reds for the former Bradford City, Wrexham and Mansfield Town striker who netted five goals in six appearances in all competitions after joining Alfreton on a month’s loan back on November 12th, 2013 from the Stags.

Hide AdHe began his career with Sheffield United before being loaned out to Leigh RMI after which he went on to play for Scarborough, Bury, Northwich Victoria, Farsley Celtic, Droylsden and Mansfield Town.
A £25,000 transfer followed to Bradford City where he signed on a two-year deal before moving to Wrexham for whom he scored a hat-trick against the Reds in a 4-1 win at the Impact Arena on August Bank Holiday Saturday, 2011.
A move to Wrexham came in June 2011, again on a two-year deal, but after scoring 21 goals in 38 appearances for the Welsh club, he was transferred to Mansfield one year later to be nearer his Sheffield home.

Hide AdHe was part of the 2012/13 season Stags’ title-winning squad but missed the second half of the campaign due to a knee injury.
Speight has been handed squad number 7 and he goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s home game against Chester.
