The Reds visit Evostik Northern Premier League First Division (South) club Coalville Town this Saturday and will go into it full of confidence after continuing their fine pre-season form with a hard-earned 3-0 win at a useful NPL Premier Division outfit Mickleover Sports on Tuesday evening.

The Reds have so far won 4-1 at Buxton, drawn 1-1 at home with Sheffield Wednesday, beat Rotherham United 3-2 at the Impact Arena before succumbing to a 3-2 home defeat against Notts County in a game Nicky Law’s new-look squad were unlucky not to have gained something from.

Alfreton followed that up with a 4-2 win at Stocksbridge Park Steels last Saturday and then won at Mickleover.

And prior to starting the league campaign, manager Law will be eager for his side to avoid any slip-up against lower league opponents, of which there have been several in recent seasons.

Coalville have lost just once in seven pre-season games so far, winning four.

Kick-off at The Owen Street Sports Ground is 3pm and for Reds fans travelling by car, the postcode for Satnav is LE67 3DA.
