Alfreton Town bring in Rose on loan ahead of Ebbsfleet clash

Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law has bought in central defender Jordan Rose on an emergency loan until the end of the season from fellow Blue Square Bet Premier Division rivals AFC Telford United.

Rose (23) began with Southampton aged just 12 and numbers Stockport County (twice), Hereford United and Hayes & Yeading United amongst his former clubs.

He has made 34 league appearances for Telford this season.

At Stockport, he was named the Supporters’ Young Player of the Year and Club Young Player of the Year for the 2010/11 season.

Alfreton had an undisclosed bid for the player turned down by the Bucks in the January transfer window.

Manager Law has been quick to thank the Shopshire club for their part in helping the deal go through.

He said: “We had competition from others for his services but he wanted to come to us and play games. I would also like to thank Telford for helping us out financially to get the deal done.”

Jordan’s squad number will be 16 and he will be with the Reds until April 20th inclusive.

Rose goes straight into tonight’s squad for the home game against Ebbsfleet United.
