Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law pleased with progress
The Reds will travel on January 10, 2015 to take on the winner of Worcester City’s first round tie with FC Halifax Town.
Nicky Law, the Alfreton manager, praised the character of his players after beating the Imps 2-0 - a third win in a week.

“We’ve come up against a team that is buoyant - we keep hearing about how they’re on a roll because they’d won three on the trot - we knew it was going to be tough, but we came here and, if I’m honest, it could have been a lot more.
“Yes, we’re pleased with the win, but l’d swap that for three points on Boxing Day, but we’ll come here again.
“l thought it was a good game - both sides went at it well and gave it a go, it was an end-to-end game and we’re just pleased to get the win and get into the next round.”

He added: “I don’t believe that we’re as bad as our position would suggest, but we are there. We’ve got to deal with it and we’ve got to fight our way out of it. We’re making progress.”
