The comprehensive win leaves the promotion-chasing Bulls inside the top three spots of the NCEL Premier Division.

It was the second week in a row that AFC recorded a 5-0 home win after beating Athersley Recreation the previous weekend.

“It was a comprehensive win to be fair,” he said. “We knew it would be challenging because they had not lost a game all season.

“We controlled the game after the first ten minutes and scored at the right times which is important.

“We scored some good goals and shared it around and we had a clean sheet, which is important

“It sets a standard for us. We want to be up there in the top three.

“It's all good saying it, but we have to be winning games like this and hopefully this sends out a statement.2

And Chatfield says it is now important that his side keep up the momentum.

“We have got to keep up that level of consistency and keep performing well which will get us the three points,” he added.

“We took the chances at the right time. I’m delighted for Hugo (Warhurst) and the back four to get the clean sheet, they deserved it.

“It is great that we are having different goalscorers and takes the pressure off and gives us freedom.

“While we are on the run we want to keep it going, especially with COVID around. We want to play as many games and get as many points on the board as soon as we can.”
