Adam Murray inspires Wrens to stylish win

Rainworth returned to winning ways following manager Kev Gee’s departure with a 4-1 win at Market Drayton.

The visitors started well and should have taken the lead after three minutes.

But they took the lead after six minutes when Adam Murray whose unstoppable shot found the back of the net from some 25 yards.

Just when it seemed only a matter of time before Rainworth added to their score, they promptly allowed Market Drayton back into the game.

Peel missed two good chances for the home side in the 21st and 35th minute.

But Market Drayton In finally levelled in the 36th minute when Peel made it third time lucky as he got the vital touch to bring the scores level.

Rainworth started the second half looking to take control and in the 51st minute Kieran Walker put Hansen’s cross over the bar.

In previous matches Rainworth flattered to deceive,but they showed a different attitude to take control.

In the 53rd minute Hanson found Clarke whose pin-point pass was knocked into the net by Callum Lloyd.

The killer blow then came in the 70th minute when, from a neat Murray free-kick, Ricky Hanson drove into the area and his cross found its way into the net, helped by Callum Burton.

Within a minute from a Murray free kick, Scott Rickards placed the ball wide of the keeper to complete an emphatic victory for Rainworth.
