Danny Ings looks almost certain to leave Burnley. The 23-year-old’s contract is up at the end of June but compensation will have to be paid given his age, Tottenham and Liverpool among the front-runners to sign him.

Derby County are keen to bring in Darren Bent and Tom Ince permanently following successful loan spells, while Paul Clement remains overwhelming favourite to take over at the iPro Stadium following Steve McClaren’s exit.

In other managerial news, Dick Advocaat has left Sunderland with David Moyes a possible successor, while Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa is keen on replacing Sam Allardyce at West Ham.
