Thoresby were beaten for the first time in the Bassetlaw Cricket League this season after a 114 run thumping against Anston.

Anston posted 215/5 thanks to Anthony Roddis (61) and Nathan Crookes (66). Jack Willis was the pick of the bowlers with 3-49.

The run chase never got going with Thoresby all out for 101 after Neil Carter (5-23) and Nathan Crookes 3-8) tore through the innings.

Cuckney, Glapwell and Welbeck are all tied on eight points at the top of the Championship B division.

Welbeck were beaten by Clipstone and Bilsthorpe at Sookholme Road by two wickets.

The home side made 225/7 with 78 not out from Andrew Marchant the batting highlight. James Hubball helped restrict the score with a tight 3 for 39.

It helped keep Welbeck in range with the visitors chasing the total down thanks once again to all-rounder Hubball, who hit 68 not out.

Glapwell took full advantage with a three win over Cuckney.

Josh Porter (56), Will Ullyott (56) and Richard Bostock (54*) helped Cuckney to 209/5.

But they were unable to defend that total, with George Unwin’s 81 not out seeing Glapwell over the line.

Farnsfield tasted victory after successfully defending 209 against Notts and Arnold Amateur.

Liam Delaney was the main man with 66*, with contributions of 38 each from Matthew Sisson 38 and Matthew Roberts 38.

Joseph Worrall’s 3-38 helped peg Notts back to 163/8, with Sam Kaye falling five runs short of a century.

In Division 1B Blidworth were beaten by Papplewick & Linby II by three runs,

Papplewick crawled to 171/9 in tough conditions. And it was just enough to wrap the win up, with Andrew Watson’s 56 not enough for Blidworth.

At Station Lane, Farnsfield II were bowled out for just 100 in their six wicket defeat to Whitwell.

Mansfield took the loss to Harthill after they were unable to raise a side.

In Division 2B Mansfield Hosiery Mills II were beaten by nine wickets by Welbeck II after being bowled out for just 76. Ryan Mitchell took 4-21 and Owen Marshall 3-21 in the comfortable win.
