Plumtree managed 14 overs against Caythorpe, reaching 35-1 while Clifton Village had made 29-2 in 16.2 overs when they were forced off against the West Indian Cavaliers.

Kimberley Institute were 94-4 hosting Nottinghamshire Academy when the weather intervened in the 29th over, and Welbeck Colliery made it to 32 overs before coming off against Cuckney. Matthew Higgins, unbeaten on 53, and Andrew Parkin-Coates, on 55, had seen them to 112-1 with an unbroken partnership of 107.

Each of the above teams were left settling for six points.

At The Fieldings, visitors Rolls Royce Leisure won the toss and asked their hosts to bat.

The Mansfield Hosiery Mills innings struggled early as they fell to 38-3.

Skipper Tom New mounted a rescue operation, hitting 84, and with Matt Wright clubbing 46 from just 18 balls, the Millers declared on 233-9 in the 47th over.

Hasnain Nasir suffered most from Wright’s onslaught as he led the wicket takers with 3-64 from just five overs.

Knowing they were short of time, Rolls set about their reply in T20 fashion. Compiling 118-2 in just nine overs, an innings that included 10 sixes.

Half of those were hit by Gurpej Landa, who made 51 from 22 balls. Gareth Curtis saw his five overs disappear to all parts for 75 runs, Mark Smallwood faring slightly better, taking 2-43 from his four, MHM taking 11 points from the match and Rolls 10.

The only other match to make it to the second innings was at Radcliffe-on-Trent, where Ordsall Bridon opted to bowl upon winning the toss.

The decision bore fruit as their hosts were dismissed for 208 in 42 overs.

Only a partnership of 97 between Josh Mierkalns (70) and James Marshall (39) made a significant contribution. Tim Miles led the way for Bridon, taking 6-27 from his 10 overs.

The reply made it through 22 overs, before time and weather ended the match.

Darren Spooner was the lead contributor, making 46 from the total of 94-4. Both teams took 10 points from the match.
