Kyle Jarvis rips through Derbyshire to wrap up 250 runs win for Lancashire

A devastating spell of swing bowling from Kyle Jarvis wrapped up a crushing Lancashire victory by 250 runs before lunch over Derbyshire on the final day of the Division Two match at Derby.

The 26-year-old Zimbabwian took 5 for 10 in 31 balls as Derbyshire crashed from 36 for 2 to 114 all out with only Martin Guptill and Wayne Madsen reaching double figures.

Any slim hope Derbyshire had of reaching a target of 365 vanished when Guptill was caught behind of Jarvis’s first ball for 32 and Madsen made 29 before he was lbw to another swinging delivery.

Jarvis had Alex Hughes and Shiv Thakor lbw to finish with his best Lancashire figures of 5 for 13 in nine overs with Simon Kerrigan taking the final wicket to wrap up a 21 points haul for Lancashire.
