Derbyshire Cricket Club membership prices announced for new season

Derbyshire will play First Division cricket next summer following their recent promotion as champions – but the price of membership remains unchanged.

Supporters purchasing their membership by the end of January will benefit from an across the board price freeze with increases of up to £15 only taking effect on 1st February.

Discounts remain in place for students, senior citizens and those living more than 20 miles from the County Ground.

A new Ambassador initiative, meanwhile, offers Members £50 cashback for each new Member they recruit for the 2013 season.

All additional revenue will be invested into the playing squad as Karl Krikken’s men tackle English cricket’s top division for the first time since the year 2000.

Junior Membership is free for under 16s that register prior to 1st February ahead of a season set to include 32 days of home Championship cricket, six home Clydesdale Bank 40 matches and five home games in the group stage of the Friends Life t20 competition.

A new six-pack ticket, meanwhile, provides a value-for-money solution for supporters that wish to join the Club, but who can only attend a limited number of matches.

Head coach Karl Krikken said: “I’m delighted that the club is offering our loyal supporters from around the county Division One cricket at no extra cost on the previous season.

“Our members are being rewarded for their support which is great; and the Ambassador initiative provides the opportunity for them to make a real difference by bringing in crucial revenue for the strengthening and preparation of the team as we aim for a successful season.

“Gaining promotion as champions was a great effort by everyone connected with the Club. We now more than ever need to pull together as a county, show how proud we are to be Derbyshire and take on the First Division without fear.”
