Derbyshire have already moved to strengthen the squad with the winter signings of New Zealand batsmen, Hamish Rutherford and Neil Broom, in addition to Division One seamers, Andy Carter and Tom Milnes.

Grant said: “I’ve been regularly asked if Derbyshire plan to make any more signings for 2016. The answer is yes.

“The plan is to bring in a second overseas finisher for the NatWest T20 Blast, as well as an experienced bowler, which could be on loan, but we will see.

“The signings still to come will follow the captures of experience international batsman Hamish Rutherford and Neil Broom, who will both be with us for the entire 2016 season.

“Those are on top of the additions of bowlers Andy Carter and Tom Milnes, who both have Division One experience and will certainly strengthen our line-up this summer.

“It’s also a big year for a lot of our younger players to turn their promise into more consistent performances across the season.

“It’s been great to also see our talented youngsters be recognised by England this winter.

“Tom Taylor is currently away in South Africa with the Potential England Performance Programme, while Matt Critchley was selected to train with the England Lions in Dubai in January. It’s a great recognition for the work Graeme and his team are doing here.”
