The visit of neighbours Nottinghamshire to The 3aaa County Ground, a fixture that sold out in advance in 2013, will be played on Friday June 26 (6.30pm).

The visit of Yorkshire to Queen’s Park, Chesterfield is on Sunday July 12 (2.30pm) for a game which saw over 4,000 in attendance in 2014.

Captain Madsen said: “Our focus will be on winning Twenty20 games and making it a great spectacle to watch.

“Lots of sixes, short boundaries and entertaining high-scoring games.

“All of our home games in 2014 were high scoring.

“As far as one day wickets go, they were rated as the best in the country. It’s an exciting prospect to play on fantastic wickets again this summer.

“There’s lot of fixtures to look forward to, none more than the two local derbies against Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.

“The crowds are exceptional and it’s great to have such a buzz around the ground.

“We do need to make sure we are playing better Twenty20 cricket and a lot of our training over the winter has been designed to enhance that.

“But we scored a lot of runs last year and I don’t think our approach to batting will change much. We can be better at closing out games.

“We want to reach the knockout stages and I think that is a realistic aim this summer.”
