The Cavaliers add this title to the 2013 NPL League title and the 2013 National Club Championship trophies already in their cabinet.

They won their way to the final after a straightforward win over 2013 T20 champions Cuckney in the first semi-final; restricting last year’s champions to 141-9 before knocking off their target in exactly 14 overs.

Notts Unity Casuals, qualifying after beating the Bassetlaw T20 champions in a recent play-off, scored a solid victory over Premier League side Plumtree in the second semi-final.

Salim Karim took 5-16 and Matt Milnes scored an unbeaten 50 as Plumtree struggled to 114-8 in the first innings and Karim (36 not out) also starred as Unity reached their target with 11 balls to spare.

But Unity proved no match for a rampant Cavaliers side as the Premier League side racked up the day’s biggest total with 180-7 thanks to 56 from Skipper Bilal Shafayat and 43 from Gemaal Hussain at the top of the order.

Unity fell 50 runs short for the loss of 8 wickets with Ibby scoring 50 not out and a brace of wickets each for Hussain, Akhil Patel and Ameer Ahmed.

The Cavaliers now progress to the national stages of the ECB Club Twenty Championships.
