The visitors chose to bat first after winning the toss, but could only muster 125 all out, which having been 36 for 6 could have been worse.

David France edged the bowling honours with 3 for 11, from Lewis Bramley’s 3 for 19 and Jack Blatherwick’s 3 for 23.

Several Hucknall batters made double figures, but none could pass 21.

The Bears were made to work for the runs in the chase, needing to go to the 29th over to reach their target.

Tom Keast’s patient 42 not out featured in a 52-run stand with Will Butler, before Nick Langford hit a brisk 26 not out to complete the win and keep them in touch with defending Champions, and current leaders, Kimberley.

The home side won the toss and chose to bat first. Callum McKenzie (34) featured in a 50-stand with Lyndon James who then featured with Dane Schadendorf to add a further 94 for the third wicket.

James had made 74 when he was dismissed, with Shadendorf following soon after having made his own half century (51).

Wickets then tumbled in the quest for quick runs, the innings closing on 223 for 8. Adam Dobb’s 4 for 39 leading the Millers attack.

Dobb would play a big role in the run chase with the Millers looking dead and buried at 86 for 6, having seen only Mark Smallwood (37) show any resistance.

Dobb’s arrival at the demise of Smallwood threatened to turn the game Mansfield’s way.

He smacked 12 fours and 3 sixes in his score of 85, which came from just 41 balls faced. His partnership with Daniel Harris (14) was worth 99 when Harris was dismissed, a wicket that triggered a tumble from 186 for 6 to 192 all out.

Four Caythorpe bowlers claimed two wickets each as they ran out winners by 31 runs.
