Cricket umpire courses in Cuckney

Cricket lovers eager to turn their hands to umpiring will be able to take their first step on the ladder at a training course taking place in Cuckney.

The event takes place at the Cuckney Cricket Centre on Langwith Road on Monday 13th January at 7.30 p.m. Registration will be available from 7.00 p.m. at the first session and the course lasts for ten weeks.

This is a beginners course leading to the possible award of the ECB Level 1 certification.

The cost is £30 payable by cheque to the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board at the first session and this price includes workbook and examination.

On the same evening in another room at Cuckney, umpires who have progressed from Level 1 and undertaken at least one full season of umpiring experience, leading to the possible award of ECB Level 1A will meet on an eight week course. This course is a natural progression from the Level 1 course.

The cost is £30.00 payable by cheque to the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board at the first session and includes workbook and assessment.

Both courses include the opportunity to apply or renew the DBS (CRB) accreditation which is essential for all umpires. All course members must be members of the ECB ACO to receive end of course accreditation.
