CRICKET: Cuckney set for top of the table clash with Clifton Village in Nottinghamshire Premier League

Leaders Cuckney, winners of all three completed matches at Langwith Road, play host to second-placed Clifton Village, winners of each of the completed matches they have played on the road.

Meantime, in Derby, fourth placed Rolls Royce Leisure welcome third placed Plumtree with both sides knowing a win could propel them to the top of the table depending on the result at Cuckney.

West Indian Cavaliers lie fifth in the table, and will be looking to take advantage of the teams that will slip up in the battles above, as they travel to Ordsall Bridon. Bridon will be equally keen to pick up some positive points after sliding into the relegation zone. They remain the only side yet to avoid defeat in a completed game this side.

In mid table, Caythorpe in sixth host seventh placed Welbeck Colliery. Caythorpe have been very good at home, and remain undefeated on their own turf, whilst both of Welbeck’s wins have come away from home. The Colliers will be looking to avenge their defeat in the National Cup at Caythorpe just a couple of weeks ago.

Kimberley Institute, without a win in five weeks, take on a Radcliffe-on-Trent side buoyed by a first positive result of the season last week. With the danger of the table splitting into two distinct halves if results go the right (or wrong) way, the Institute will be looking to make home advantage pay.

The days final fixture sees the NCB Academy side looking to continue their recently improved fortunes at home to Mansfield Hosiery Mills. The Millers are 27 points adrift at the foot of the table so will be hoping to make inroads to that deficit with a first win of the season.

All games are scheduled to commence at 12:30.

Sunday sees the qualifying rounds of the Twenty20 Cup competition. Matches will take place at three venues across the county.
