Clipstone & Bilsthorpe top table in style

Clipstone & Bilsthorpe CC made it two wins out of two in style to top the Bassetlaw & District League Championship table with a crushing 167-run win over Killamarsh Juniors.

David Willock hit 109, James Hubball 87 and Chris Fletcher 78 not out as they made a huge 359 before bowling out Killamarsh for 192, Fletcher completing a fine afternoon with 5-14 from just two overs.

Glapwell Colliery and Welbeck also have two wins from two games.

Glapwell (220) beat Bawtry (169) by 51 runs. Danny Bircumshaw led the way with 100 for the home side, George Unwin (3-32) and Scott Smith (3-57) sharing six of the Bawtry wickets.

Richard Stroh's 61 helped Welbeck (242-6) beat Ordsall Bridon (196) by 46 runs. Ryan Mitchell took 4-33 and Ashley Willis 3-33.

Farnsfield (201-7) beat Anston (199-3) by three wickets, Peter Frettingham and Mathew Roberts both adding 58 to the Farnsfield total.

Cuckney seconds (186-7) went down by six wickets at Notts & Arnold Amateur (187-4), Josh Porter top-scoring for the visitors with 73.

Farnsfield seconds are second in Division One after their second win in as many games. Chasing Mansfield CC's 139-7, they made 140-2, Ellis Fletcher unbeaten on 56, in just 26.2 overs to coast home by eight wickets. Alex Hudson took 4-23.

Blidworth CW (191) were beaten by five wickets at Everton (193-5), Mateo Boulogne hitting 67 for Blidworth and Gareth Campion matching that for Everton.

Papplewick and Linby II top the table after two wins out of two.
