COUNTY CRICKET: Sussex forced to follow on against Notts

Sussex v Notts - Day 3, Lunch

Sussex were forced to follow on 357 runs behind after being dismissed for 213 on the third day against Nottinghamshire at Horsham.

The hosts lost six wickets for 56 runs, two of them to left-armer Harry Gurney who took 5 for 75, his second five-wicket haul of the season against Sussex.

Among his victims was Luke Wright, who reached 50 for the eighth time this season before he was caught at second slip, fencing at a ball which nipped away.

Veteran left-arm spinner Gary Keedy picked up Ollie Robinson and Matt Hobden for ducks to finish with 3 for 45 and there were also wickets for Ben Hutton and Luke Wood during a sorry Sussex procession.

Sussex suffered more misery when they went in again with Luke Wells held at second slip in Wood’s opening over for a fifth ball duck. At lunch they had reached 14-1.
