Mansfield Town have signed highly-regarded left-back Sean Kavanagh ahead of the League Two match at home to Luton Town.
The 21-year-old links up with the club until the end of the season on loan from Fulham.
The Dublin born defender has made 25 appearances for the Cottages, mostly in the Championship, and has represented his native Ireland at under 21 level.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Kavanagh said: “Mansfield are a club that are aiming for the play-offs. It’ll be good for me to be a part of that push and to get some game-time under my belt.”
After taking part in his first training session with his new team-mates yesterday, Kavanagh said: “I can tell they’re a close knit bunch. They’ve helped me adapt here quickly.”
Kavanagh has been allocated squad number 23.
