Sutton Empire celebrate boxing hat-trick
As the new season got underway, Sutton’s Empire Boxing Club were celebrating a hat-trick of successes last week.
Firstly James Ling, 14, became the Midlands Champion and continued to progress in the Junior Development Championships, then Nic ‘One Bomb’ Cartwright, 28, won the Novice Central Area Championship belt at light heavyweight and finally triple champion Jordan ‘Super J’ Cameron, 19, won a very hard-fought battle in Leamington Spa to land the Central England Area Open Class Title at super middleweight.
Head coach Richard Wheldon said: “It goes to show what you can achieve with dedication and a good team behind you. I am blessed to be working with such talent.”
