The quartet had their very first taekwondo lesson at Kang Han, a small club based at the Crescent Primary School Sports Centre in Bull Farm, and have built their way up.

“It’s a great club to be part of,” said Tracy. “It is very friendly and supportive. The instructors are amazing and totally committed to helping every student reach their goals, be they weight loss, fitness or black belts.”

One of those instructors, Darrell Carrington, has enjoyed his own personal success. For after months of hard work and training, the 36-year-old has been awarded his 6th dan, despite a long-term knee-injury.

Kang Han, whosed Grand Master is Ien Lennox, train on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the centre from 6 pm to 8 pm. Anyone aged five and over is welcome to go along and give taekwondo a try. For more information, Carrington can be contacted on 07769 316722.
