As a nation anticipates England’s World Cup quarter final match with Sweden, Round 13 of the Owzat Cricket Nottinghamshire Premier League goes ahead as planned with possible pauses in play to watch the Three Lions on Saturday.

There’s a big clash at the bottom where Hucknall take on Attenborough at the New Gatehouse Ground.

The home side are now four games without a win and they’ve slipped below Attenborough into the second relegation spot in 11th.

Only seven points separate the two sides, so a return to winning ways would see them swap places once more.

Attenborough moved into 10th place with a dramatic win of their own over Caythorpe as they won by one wicket off the last ball. That result means they have secured back to back wins and they’ll be looking to move further clear of danger with a third straight victory.

While Papplewick & Linby are the visitors to Radcliffe-on-Trent.

Radcliffe dropped into 10th place after their defeat at Cuckney and are just four points ahead of Hucknall below them. Their home form is what is keeping them out of the relegation spots; three of their four wins have come there and they badly need another.

Papplewick arrive on the back of a draw and sit comfortably in fifth place, but could potentially move higher if they win and results go their way.
