BASSETLAW LEAGUE: Thoresby in pole position for runners-up prize
Championship leaders Papplewick continued their charge back to the Notts Premier League with a 106-run victory over Glapwell Colliery as George and Charles Blatherwick bagged eight wickets between them.
But Thoresby also continued their strong form, despite being bowled out for 180 at home to Ordsall Bridon. Only one of their first five in the order made double figures, so they relied on later contributions from Rehan Ahmed (46no) and Shailesh Patel (25), not to mention a surfeit of 43 extras. However, their bowlers were too good for Bridon, who crashed to 83 all out against Jack Dickens (3-13), Lewis Cameron (3-26) and man-of-the-match Ahmed (3-28).
