After ten years of playing, one man’s routine Tuesday ended with a film crew, a Rolls-Royce and life-changing choices

Chris Woodgate had been playing online spot the ball games for around 10 years, in the hope his lucky day would come around. He even cleared his diary every Tuesday, the day the winners were announced, to ensure he'd be home for the surprise call.

And then this week, that surprise call finally happened. And a film crew turned up at his front door in Leicester with the keys to a £120,000 Rolls-Royce.

"I'll have to get dressed first", he told presenter Christian Williams, who had travelled up in the luxury car from London, where dream car giveaway firm BOTB is based."

BOTB invites players to take part in a weekly spot the ball competition, challenging people to pick out the precise location of a missing football in some mid-match action.

After such a long time playing, Chris had become a bit of a dab hand at the game, but to land his marker on the perfect pixel is incredibly difficult. Difficult, but not impossible.

"Chris, I am pleased to say you are this week's winner of the dream car competition," said Christian, as he led Chris outside.

"You've just won a Rolls-Royce," he added.

Initially speechless, Chris finally overcame his emotions and explained he couldn't resist playing for the jet black Rolls-Royce Wraith, because it was a special opportunity on the BOTB website, and he always jumps on the specials.

But the £120,000 Rolls-Royce wasn't the only prize the BOTB team came to deliver that day, because Chris had ticked a box to play for a bonus prize - £40,000 in cash. Coupled with a £5,000 gift to help insure the car, this meant a briefcase filled with £45,000 cash was waiting for him in the boot.

"Christmas has come really early, hasn't it?" Said a delighted Chris, as the enormity of his life-changing prize started to set in.

Although he was bowled over at the sight of a Rolls-Royce parked outside his house, Chris discussed the option of taking the cash alternative with the BOTB team.

"It would change my life completely," he said. "Because I live month to month at the moment."

Chris also explained he hadn't been able to afford dental work, and this meant he "didn't smile very often at the moment".

"I'd get my teeth sorted," he said. "And I've got family I can give a little bit to on top of their Christmas presents."

Chris's huge win is part of the weekly spot the ball competition series, but BOTB also gives supercars away for peanuts each week, and the big prize this month is a £1.15 million townhouse in Bath, with tickets priced at just 95p.
