Sainsbury's recalls burgers due to E. coli fears

Sainsbury’s is recalling some batches of its Taste the Difference frozen Aberdeen Angus British Beef Quarter Pounders, due to possible contamination with E.coli O157.

According to Public Health England, a ‘small number' of people have become unwell after eating the burgers.

Symptome of the potentially fatal E.coli 0157 bug can include vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and fever, as well as uremic syndrome, a serious condition that can lead to kidney failure.

Anyone having bought 4 pack Aberdeen Angus British Beef Quarter Pounders with ‘Best Before’ dates of July 2018, September 2018 and October 2018 advised not to eat them. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
