I am disgusted at the alleged behaviour of Mansfield District Council. It was reported the council had a lost labrador in its kennels for seven days before it was taken to East Midlands Labrador Rescue.
Upon arrival at the rescue centre, it needed an operation for a wound on its neck.
The Facebook page has been bombarded with comments regarding the treatment of this poor dog while in its care. The council has put a post on saying the dog was looked at by a vet and deemed not to be in pain or discomfort.
Go to East Midlands Labrador Rescue and look at the photos of the wound. There is no way that it was not causing discomfort.
If a dog was found with a member of the public in this state, the RSPCA would be prosecuting them.
What will happen to the council?
