Recently, I was found in a state of collapse by my daughter. She immediately phoned for an ambulance which arrived promptly while she was kept on the telephone being instructed by the emergency services. I was taken to King’s Mill Hospital where I was met by a consultant and a specialist team who quickly assessed I’d had a stroke.
I was immediately scanned and admitted for a clot-busting treatment.
The care I received from the consultant, Dr Nasa and all the staff from the specialist nurses to the lovely ladies that brought around the tea was second to none. King’s Mill Hospital seems to come in for a lot of criticism, but I could not have received more professional or compassionate care in the private sector. I have just been discharged and have already been visited by a lovely nurse who has reassured me and armed me with all the information to enable me to hopefully make a full recovery. Well done King’s Mill Hospital. Give yourselves a pat on the back, you deserve it.
