Your chance to shape local healthcare

Health and Social Care leaders in Mansfield and Ashfield are asking local people to get involved in a programme to shape health and social care services by becoming a Better Together Champion.

Champions will have the opportunity to help shape how local health and social care services develop, through attending events, answering surveys, visiting existing services and sharing the news of planned changes with their friends, family and colleagues.

Better Together is a proposal for change created by Mid-Nottinghamshire’s health and social care providers.

The ambition is to create a more joined up health and social care service which is patient focused, with services delivered closer to, or at, home and which offers the tax payer the best possible value for money.

Amanda Sullivan, chief operating officer for Mansfield and Ashfield and Newark and Sherwood Clinical Commissioning Groups, said: “We would encourage patients, the public and other stakeholders to join the Better Together programme by becoming a Champion.

“The Champion’s role is extremely important and ensures that the voice of our public and patients continues to play a fundamental role in shaping the development of new health and social care services in Mid-Nottinghamshire for future populations.’
