Young Sutton investors beat the market and the competition

Financial whizz kids from a Sutton School beat the stock market to clinch a place in the regional final of a national investment competition.

A team of four students from Quarrydale School - The “3 and a bit” team - were up against more than 30,000 UK students in the Student Investor Challenge. They made more than £8,000 trading in virtual shares in just three months. outperforming the FTSE 100 share index.

They will now represent their school at the North Wales & English Midlands regional final, held in Birmingham on 19th March. They could win an all-expenses paid trip to New York and £2,000 for their school.
