Young people confirmed in Southwell Minster

Forty-three young people were confirmed in Southwell Minster on Saturday 21sth March by the Rt Revd Richard Inwood, Acting Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham, and the Rt Revd Tony Porter, Bishop of Sherwood.

Bishop Tony said: “The confirmation of 43 young people at the Minster was an inspiring occasion.

“A number of young people shared their personal stories and their journey of faith and were involved in the readings and the leading of prayers.

“One of the most moving parts of the service was the conclusion, when prayers were read by a grandparent, a parent and a young person.

“What a future for the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham when our young people are so excited about Jesus.”

The young people, who came from churches across the diocese, were: Brandon Burrows, Connor Robertson, Alix Aitchison, Aleena David, Rimsha Mendis, Clement Mendis, Shaun Mncube, Grace Fynn, William Grantham-Woodhouse, Elizabeth Grantham-Woodhouse, Luke Grantham-Woodhouse, Finlay Hyde-Barker, Elizabeth Jones, George McNish, Oliver Rogers, Ella Spencer, Matthew Britton, Philip Coe, Anna Henderson, Elizabeth Smith, Joe Taylor, John Byrom, Molly Sharpe, James Daniels, Emily Aikens, Lottie Aikens, Imogen Birkett, Abi Burgess, Ellie Burgess, Imogen Burgess, Ben Conley, Jess Gale, Lisa Lesowiec, Elisabeth Mole, Hannah-Maria Mole, Ellie Moppet, Honour Place, Gen Poon, Nikhita Srinivasan, Emily Townshend, Thomas Gibson, Jacob Langley and Jaguar Hurst.
