Young folk urged to have their say on Derbyshire County Council libraries

Library visitors aged up to 16 will be invited to fill in a short survey between Monday 10th until Saturday 22nd February.

The results will help the council to shape its library services for young people.

Children aged under seven will be asked to get their parent or carer to help fill in the form. Older children can fill in the form themselves or ask for help.

The survey is part of a national scheme carried out by CIFPA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) to consult with young library users every three years.

Coun Ellie Wilcox, Derbyshire County Council cabinet member for health and communities, said: “We’re really keen to hear what young people think about our library service.

“This survey gives them a voice and we’ll use their feedback to help us shape future services.”

The survey is anonymous and those completing it will not be identified in any way.
