Young business brains take on the challenge at West Nottinghamshire College

Young business entrepreneurs at West Nottinghamshire College put their skills to the test in the Dragon's Den-style Future Business Leader Challenge.

The event, sponsored by Asda, was organised by BTEC students Millie Hastings, Kelsey Wilson and Jack Dring.

Bag and Go, consisting of Jack Best, Michaela Alexis and Phanumat Khrutsaha, won the best pitch category for their travel bag idea.

The group also won the Best Show and Tell Award.

Best Educational Journey went to Daily Dash’s Cameron Moore, Aleksas Stepanovas and Joshua Barker, for their snacking on-the-go concept.

The Most Employable Student Award went to Millie Hastings, while two work placement awards at Asda in Forest Town, went to Jack Best and Isaac Fuller.

The other finalists were Chok Blok, the creation of Tahmid Kamali and Mackenzie Buckland, Food 2 Go, the brainchild of Nikola Greif, Imogen Whitworth and Holly Kerry and Gourmet Shakes, devised by Dominic Heffernan and Robin Pearson.
