Sarah Neale, mitigating, said: “She couldn’t blow hard enough or long enough. She didn’t blatantly refuse.”

She said Crowder was due to start a delivery driving job next Monday and keeping her licence was ‘vitally important to her employment.’

The court heard she was given a two-year ban for drink driving in 2009.

Magistrates put ten points on her licence, but stopped short of banning her.

She was fined £185 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £30.
