Workshops to prepare perfect CV

Jobseekers are being offered expert advice on preparing the perfect CV at special sessions in Kirkby, Mansfield, Hucknall and Worksop during November.

The events, being organised by Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) through its work clubs, are free of charge and open to anyone currently looking for a job.

The CV workshops are being held on: November 5 (10am-12noon) at Worksop Library; November 11 (10am-12noon) at Mansfield Library; November 19 (3.30pm-5.30pm) at Hucknall Library; November 20 (10am-12noon) at Kirkby Library.

Councillor Diana Meale, chair of economic development at NCC, said: “Employers will often see your CV before they see you, so it is absolutely vital that you create a favourable impression and include the right information they are looking for.

“Many of the people who come to our work clubs have limited experience of preparing a CV, often because they’ve not had to in the past or they have recently lost a long-term job and are out of practice. Regardless of how long you’ve been unemployed or even if you’re in work and are thinking of looking for a new job, these events are a great chance to get free, expert advice on an important aspect of getting the job you want.”
