Woman taken to hospital after car crash in Kirkby town centre
A woman has been taken to hospital following a road traffic accident in Kirkby earlier today (May 19).
Chapel Street was closed near Kirkby’s Coop store both ways between Greenwood Drive and B6018 after the crash at about 11am this morning.
Nottinghamshire police said the woman had crashed into a lamp post and was found unconscious but breathing by paramedics.
She was taken to hospital but her condition is not known at this time.
The road is now open again and traffic has returned to normal.
